The Sequoia Lodge in brief
The Disney's Sequoia Lodge recreates the atmosphere of a large North American national park chalet: solid wood, stone, and a monumental fireplace in the “Redwood” lobby. Rated 3★ superior, it has approximately 997 rooms distributed between the main building and the lodges. It is one of the favorite Disney hotels for winter and Christmas stays, thanks to its cozy atmosphere.
Facilities, restaurants and swimming pool
The hotel offers restaurant Hunter's Grill (rotisserie buffet), the Beaver Creek Tavern (table service) and the Redwood Bar & Lounge by the fire. The heated indoor swimming pool imitates a natural spring in the middle of the forest, complete with a sauna and a fitness room.
The “lodge” rooms, a little further away, offer more tranquility. Official Disney hotel benefits included: early entry to the parks and free shuttle. The comfort/price ratio is one of the best among official Disney hotels.
Location and access
The Sequoia Lodge is located at lakeside Disney in Chessy (77700), right next to the Newport Bay Club. The parks are 10 to 15 minutes walk by the lake promenade, or served by the free Disney shuttle.
Taxi access and baggage drop-off
We place under the awning of themain entrance, in front of reception. The access driveway is easy for vehicles. For late arrivals in winter - common during the Christmas period - the taxi avoids waiting outside in the cold: direct pick-up at the airport or train station, and drop-off at the hotel.
Airport → hotel route and winter advice
Allow 35 to 45 minutes from CDG, 50 to 70 minutes from Orly. During the holiday season, traffic and weather (ice, snow) can lengthen journey times: our drivers know the routes and adapt their driving. Book early for Christmas and New Year, the demand for taxis is exploding around Disneyland. Flight tracking ensures that you are expected even if there is a delay.
Disney shuttle or taxi?
The free shuttle connects the hotel to the parks in a few minutes; on foot, 10 to 15 minutes. Taxi is recommended for airport/station connections, shopping trips to Val d'Europe and excursions to Paris.
