Eurostar timetables and frequencies 2026
Eurostar operates approximately 15-17 trains per day in each direction between London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord:
- First train: 5h40 from London / 6h13 from Paris
- Last train: 9:16 p.m. from London / 9:13 p.m. from Paris
- Average journey: 2h20 (some direct 2h15)
- Frequency during the day: a train every 1-2 hours
On weekends and public holidays, slightly reduced frequencies (10-12 trains/day). Reservation required, no walk-in.

Prices vary from €44 to €315 according to:
- Reservation deadline : -50% if booked 4+ months in advance
- Day of the week : Tuesday/Wednesday cheaper than Friday/Sunday
- Departure time : morning/end of day cheaper than midday/end of afternoon
- Class : Standard (€44-180), Plus (€100-230), Premier (€200-315)
- Flexible tickets more expensive but refundable/changeable

Customs and passport formalities
Since Brexit (2021), controls are stricter. In London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord:
- Arrival 75-90 min before departure (obligatory, not like before)
- Ticket check
- Security check (baggage scanner, gantry)
- Exit border control (country of departure)
- Entry border control (country of arrival, British/French cabin side by side)
- Then boarding waiting room 20-30 min before
Documents : passport required (identity card no longer accepted since 2021 to go to the UK). Children: passport required from birth.

- 1 cabin/hand baggage
- Unlimited weight in theory (carried by you)
- Skis, snowboards, bikes : admitted with special reservation (25-35 € supplement)
No mandatory weighing like in an airplane. Luggage stored on luggage racks above the seats and at the end of the carriages.

- Eurostar 2h20 journey, arrival Paris Gare du Nord 5:47pm

- Arrival Disneyland around 7 p.m., hotel check-in, dinner in the park or Disney Village
- Stay 3-4 days : Disney parks, rest on the last morning
- Return : Disneyland taxi → Gare du Nord, Eurostar to London
Family transport budget for 4 people round trip: Eurostar €400-700 + 2 taxis €208 = 600-900 € total. Much more comfortable and faster than flight + CDG + taxi.
